DURBAN, (CAJ News) – FOOTBALL fans are in for an action-packed weekend as the Betway Premiership enters another thrilling round of fixtures.
The weekend kicks off on Friday evening with a single clash, where struggling Siwelele FC take on the newly revamped Richards Bay. Kick-off is at 19:30.
Saturday Showdowns
Saturday offers a feast of top-tier football. Log leaders Sekhukhune United face a stern test against fourth-placed Durban City in what promises to be one of the weekend’s most exciting encounters.
Both teams remain unbeaten, setting the stage for a tightly contested clash.
Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns travel to face Stellenbosch FC in another high-stakes battle, while Magesi FC, still searching for consistency, host AmaZulu FC.
Despite their struggles, Magesi will be eager to upset the visitors on home soil.
In Durban, Golden Arrows welcome second-placed Kaizer Chiefs. Amakhosi, buoyed by their midweek draw against Sundowns, will look to maintain momentum, but Arrows—currently fifth—will be determined to defend their turf and secure crucial early-season points.
Elsewhere, bottom-placed Orbit College FC meet the rejuvenated TS Galaxy in a late evening clash that could prove unpredictable.
Sunday Fixtures
Sunday’s spotlight falls on Chippa United and resurgent giants Orlando Pirates. While the Buccaneers are favoured to collect maximum points, underestimating Chippa could prove costly.
The final match of the weekend sees Marumo Gallants lock horns with Polokwane City in Bloemfontein, with both sides eager to establish early momentum in what is expected to be a tightly balanced contest.
