South Africa Home Affairs Minister, Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi

The Department of Home Affairs (DHA) offers a convenient online booking system called the Branch Appointment Booking System (BABS). This system allows you to schedule appointments for various services, including:

  • Applying for:
    • ID documents
    • Passports
  • Collecting:
    • Birth certificates

Pre-booked clients receive priority service at dedicated counters. Remember, booking is mandatory for collecting any document you’ve applied for. Additionally, BABS allows you to cancel or reschedule appointments for your convenience.
