JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – BUBBLING with their narrow 1-0 victory over visiting Egyptian giants Al Ahly last weekend in Pretoria, South Africa, Mamelodi Sundowns hope to wrap up their second leg encounter semi final in Cairo, Egypt when the two sides clash again on Wednesday in the African Football League.

New signing Thapelo Maseko scored that only vital goal which made the difference for the South African premiership champions, but the Egyptians cannot be ruled out at this stage since they are capable of turning the tables, especially at their own backyard.

Just like Sundowns, Al Ahly has vast talent coupled with international professionals, who can deliver desired results on a good day.

The last time these two teams clashed in the CAF Champions League group stages last year, Sundowns massacred Al Ahly 5-2 in Pretoria before being held to a 2-2 draw in Cairo.

Elsewhere, Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca also narrowly beat visiting Tunisian giants Esperance 1-0 in another tough semi final played at Mohamed V Sports Complex in Casablanca.
