CAPE TOWN, (CAJ News) – CAPE Town International Airport has again scooped Africa’s Leading Airport 2023 accolade at the World Travel Awards.

It is the seventh win in a row.

“We are extremely pleased with and humbled by this award,” said Mark Maclean, Regional General Manager, Cape Town International Airport Cluster.

“It is a recognition of the great work being done by the ACSA team in collaboration with all our stakeholders and partners to provide passengers and airport users with a world class experience.”

ACSA is the Airports Company South Africa.

“We trust that being named Africa’s Leading Airport for an unprecedented seventh time in a row will provide visitors to Cape Town International Airport with a sense of comfort and assurance that they will receive a warm welcome and have a good memorable experience at our airport,” Maclean said.

This year’s ceremony was held in Dubai on October 15.

Established in 1993, the awards are considered the most prestigious honours programme in travel and tourism across the globe.

“I am completely overjoyed with this recognition, which only serves to provide us with more impetus to continue work towards making sure that our brand promise remains congruent with our clients’ lived experiences by driving constant improvement in our customer experience,” Maclean said.
