The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) is the regulatory frame that oversees the private security enterprise in South Africa. Security Officers and or companies can now use PSiRA’s services online by claiming their profiles online on the website or the PSIRA App. This means there is a limited need to visit PSiRA branches. Security Officers can download their digital certificates straight to their cellphones.
To ensure they have with them the following information to make the
process of claiming smooth
- Cellphone Number,
- Latest Grade,
- Identification Number
- Your date of birth
Once you have claimed your profile you will be able to:
- Renew and pay for PSIRA certificates
- Download certificates(free)
- Pay for your card online (collect at the branch)

View invoices and statements and make payments online

Termination and engagements of employees (Employers)
Claim your PSIRA profile either on your cell phone through our website or App
- Access the link via your Laptop, Computer or cellphone, Go to the website and type https://digitalservices.psira.co.za/claim-profile
- Select Security Officer under “Chose your Profile”
- Select Claim By ID Number and fill in your ID Number and click validate
- Enter your linked number in full and click send OTP
- Enter the OTP sent on to your mobile phone and click verify OTP
- Confirm your ID Number, Date of Birth and Grade and click submit
- Create a password of your choice and click change you password
- You will receive your password and username via SMS
- You can log on at https://digitalservices.psira.co.za/claim-profile
